Knitted Bedspread (77-141Tb76)

This knitted bedspread from the John W. Langdale Collection was made by a member of the Coleman family. Mrs. Silas Watkins Lee, mother of Mrs. Harley Langdale, Sr. brought this from Lynchburg, Virginia her home town when she came to live with her daughter in Valodsta in 1915. It is said to have been finished before the turn of the century and made up of lace triangles alternating with dimensional leaf triangles.
