Warrington Maxwell Oliver, Jr., was the son of Mr. and Mrs. W.M. ‘Jack’ Oliver, Sr. He received his education at the University of Georgia where he distinguished himself as an outstanding athlete. In his early manhood, he became associated with his father in the W.M. Oliver ladies department store. He later bought the local franchise for Amoco Oil Products and opened an automobile agency as a dealer for Dodge and Plymouth automobiles. He, his father (Jack), and his three brothers were well known distinguished golfers in Georgia.
