Military

The museum and staff take pride in preserving and showcasing the stories of those who have served our country. From the civil war to the most recent veterans, the museum houses many uniforms, records and artifacts of our service members. Two permanent exhibits housed in the museum include artifacts and information on military. From Civil War to Present is located on the main floor of the museum and  Lowndes County: Past, Present and Future which includes “Called to Serve”, “The World At War”, “Recent Conflicts”,  and “Moody Field” (Moody Air Force Base beginnings) is located on the second floor of the museum.
